Today, Chevrolet introduced the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro at the New York Auto Show. The 2014 Camaro looks to boast a few changes from the previous year model. With all of the new vehicles from Chevrolet for the 2014 year, it is hard to keep up with all of them! Just after the unveil of the new 2014 Stingray and now the Corvette Stingray Convertible, the next exciting thing from Chevrolet is this 2014 Chevy Camaro!
The 2014 Camaro has subtle changes and it begins with the front fascia featuring a larger lower opening for increased cooling and to reduce drag. The rear has also been redesigned for greater aerodynamics and balance. As you will notice, the rear end of the Camaro has also been changed up a bit for the 2014 year. There is a new rear spoiler as well as new tail lights. The lights seems to lose some of the retro-look, however they still have the squared-off look. Lastly, as talked about in the video, the car will feature performance seats from the well-known company Recaro.
2014 Z28 Camaro
A car that we had no idea was coming back was also introduced at the New York Auto Show – the legendary Z28 that most of us all remember. This track-built car is expected to have 500HP with 470 lb. ft. of torque with its high revvy naturally aspirated LS7 small-block V8.
Along with the muscle in this car, the engineers as Chevrolet have attempted to remove significant weight from the car. Although we don’t know exactly how much weight has been removed, we do know some of the things they decided to remove. For starters, the carpet and insulation in the trunk has been removed. The use of thinner glass in the rear windows has also been used to reduce weight. Air conditioning will be optional. Also, all of the speakers have been removed except for one, and that one is only in there because it has to be to function the chime for the seatbelts.
Chevrolet describes the 2014 Z28 as a street legal track car that not everyone will want, but the ones that do want it will be getting a great engineered vehicle!
Here at your Bossier City Chevrolet Dealership, we are excited to hear of its return! We promise to get pictures up of one just as soon as we get our first one! If you have any questions or need anything from us, please feel free to reach out to us at 318-59-7500 or online at www.RedRiverChevy.com.

As the information has been pouring in about the all new C7 Corvette Stingray, you may have forgotten about the C6 Corvette. Production of the C6 generation has officially been halted as of Thursday.
The last Corvette to run down the line at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant is a 427 White Convertible. It is destined to for the General Motors Heritage Center Museum. The 7.0-liter V8 in this car was assembled by the one and only chief engineer himself, Tadge Juechter.
There were a total of 215,100 C6 Corvettes that were built at the Bowling Green plant during a 9-year span. If you are still looking for the current Corvette body style then you may not want to wait too much longer. These Corvettes are becoming much scarcer by the day as the remaining unsold units are being picked up. Here at Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, LA we have about 15 left. We had about 25 just over a month ago. In total, Chevrolet reports that there are about 6,100 unsold C6 Corvettes in the market.
As of today (March 1, 2013) Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City has the area’s largest selection of Corvettes and we are currently offering $10,000 off MSRP if you currently own ANY Corvette.

The 2014 Corvette has finally been revealed – love it or hate it the car has undergone quite a change! This C7 Corvette is built to go faster and use less fuel, be more comfortable and more dangerous on the track, run with the exotics and spend thousands less. What is even more interesting is the famed “Stingray” name has been brought back to the Corvette! The Stingray name has not seen a Corvette since 1976.
The new Corvette C7 has some pretty dramatic changes to it. The car features many more pronounced creases, a much more aggressive front fascia along with numerous functioning vents all over the car. The headlamps are also much more detailed than ever before, featuring HID lights along with a LED lights running down the side of the headlamps.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray will also feature the new generation 6.2L small block V8 with the direct fuel injection and active fuel management technology. This motor will crank out 450hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. This is expected to move the new Corvette from 0 to 60 in less than 4 seconds while still providing up to 30 mpg on the highway when cruising.
The interior of the new Corvette was not forgotten either. It has been completely redesigned with premium materials, including carbon fiber, leather, and aluminum. The seats are heated and cooled with side bolsters to hold the driver and passenger firmly in! The car features two 8-inch video displays. One of them behind the steering when in the gauge cluster, and then another on the center stack.
One question that a bunch of people will be asking is – how much? We do not actually have that information yet. Chevrolet is being hush about that, but they are saying that if you can afford the current model C6 Corvette, then you can afford a new C7.
Here at Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, LA we have already taken a couple requests from customers to be added to our list for this new Corvette. Come up to Red River if you are interested in this car and we can get you added. Generally we will need a $500.00 deposit. Don’t forget that Red River Chevrolet is your Corvette dealer in Shreveport and Bossier City! We have a huge selection of C6 2013 Corvettes!
