Ready for an Electric Chevy Spark?

Chevrolet is getting ready to introduce its all-new, all-electric version Chevy Spark that can dash from 0-60 mph in less than 8 seconds.  This car is also expected to be able to charge back up to 80% battery capacity after just 20 minutes!  The Electric Chevy Spark is expected to be shown at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show, however, it was recently shown off to the media at the GM Electrification Experience in San Francisco.  Chevrolet has also stated that this Spark should provide among the best EV range in the business.

Chief engineer of the car, Chuck Russell, states “What we think customers will enjoy most is how fun the Spark EV is to drive.  Its seamless power is available at every stage for the drive.  This will help us to provide exciting options for customers who are looking for an EV that’s as much fun to drive as it is environmentally responsible.

What makes the car even better is that the EV motor and the drive unit will be built here in the United States, making it the first of its kind to have those components built here.

The 2014 Chevy Spark EV is expected to launch next summer in California markets.  Further details are expected during the unveiling at the show in Los Angeles.
