2013 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE

The 2013 Camaro ZL1 has been a hot car so far!  In fact, we can’t even keep the vehicle in stock.  We have sold the last three before they even hit our dealership.  You may or may not remember that I wrote a post about the Camaro 1LE a few months ago.  .  If you want to read the earlier post, you can find it posted here.  This car is going to be an “in-between” of the Camaro SS and the Camaro ZL1.

Chevrolet has recently released the official images of the 2013 Camaro 1LE.  As you can see from the pictures of it, a matte black hood, front splitter and rear spoiler are the most obvious changes about this car that lets you know this is not your average Camaro.  The 10-spoke wheels with the black finish come straight from the ZL1.  There are a few other things that are taken from the ZL1 as well — Including some suspension hardware, much of the fuel system, the flat-bottom steering wheel and the short throw shifter.  The 1LE has an exclusive Tremec TR6060-MM6 six-speed manual transmission designed for the particular abuses of road racing.

This Camaro is also going to feature larger front (27-mm) and rear (28-mm) stabilizer bars than the standard SS, higher-capacity rear-axle half shafts, mono tube rear dampers and a strut tower brace.  As far as the engine goes, the 1LE will feature the same 426-hp 6.2L LS3 V8 that the is currently in the SS.

If you are wondering what the cost of this is going to be, we are too!  Chevrolet has not released official pricing yet, but they did state that it should land just under $40,000.
