General Motors has recently released pricing for the bi-fuel option for the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. For those that want a truck that can run off of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Gasoline can expect to spend about $11,000 for the conversion. Although that price may be hard to swallow, just remember that there is a tax credit when you get this done to your vehicle. The amount of the credit will depend on your state, but it will definitely help with the cost. Let’s not forget about the savings from not buying gas!
With the CNG conversion, these trucks are expected to have a range of about 650 miles. This option is also going to be available on any heavy-duty truck configuration, including four-wheel drive and extended cab models.
GM has stated that this option is a way for business owners to protect themselves from the high gas prices.
