2012 Camaro ZL1 laps Nürburgring in 7:41:27

The 2012 Camaro ZL1 is getting closer and closer to arriving at your local Shreveport Chevrolet Dealership!  There has been a lot of hype about this car.  With all the power under the hood, the Magnetic Ride Control system, and so much more, anticipation is getting high over here!

Well, GM put their own test driver behind the wheel of a stock ZL1 and released him to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track which is 12.944 miles long.  The car appeared to handle it own, and actually beat out a few of the contenders.  The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, BMW M3 GTS, Porsche 911 GT3, Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV, Nissan GT-R and Audi R8 V10 were all beaten by the track time set from the Camaro ZL1!  These standing put the Camaro ZL1 among the supercars.

This Camaro is definitely the fastest and most powerful one Chevrolet has ever built!  Packing a supercharged 6.2L LSA V8, this monster produces 580 hp and 556-lb.-ft. of torque.  The ZL1 does not just stop under the hood either.  GM put a lot of great technology into the car to make it this "Supercar".  The magnetic ride control suspension system, brembo brakes, high performance fuel system, and so much more, make this Camaro a beast to reckon with!
