The Cruze just keeps on impressing!
Richard Truesdell, Editorial Director at Automotive Traveler Magazine, traveled from his home in Riverside, CA to Little Falls, NJ. Why is that impressive? Well, that is actually not. What is impressive is his average mpg rating. Traveliing through rain, sleet, snow, and a ton of wind, Truesdell averaged 41 mpg for his 3 day trip across America!
What is even more impressive, that even with gas pricing soaring at near or over $4.00/gallon he managed to cross 3,000 miles while only spending $300! You may be telling yourself, “yea, we already knew what they had the mpg rated at… why are you telling us again?” The Cruze Eco has already promised 42 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg in the city, but what is great about this is that the Cruze was actually driven across the United States and still managed to maintain its great rating. These are real-world situations, not test… So that just goes to show the quality that is built into this car.
Truesdell even states, “not only is this car competitive in the class, but in my opinion as an automotive journalist it’s class leading in many of the things that are important to customers, especially now that gas is near or over $4.00 a gallon, fuel economy is paramount.”
